How Much Does it Cost to Get HIPAA Certified?

The HIPAA Journal’s online Accredited HIPAA Certification is priced at $35, and it currently has a 25% discount that reduces the cost to $26.25 for immediate access to the full course, quizzes, and certificate issuance.

Cost and What The Price Includes

The listed price covers access to the learning management system, the full set of training modules, and the quizzes required for certificate issuance. The course is sold as an all-inclusive purchase without add-on charges for the certificate. Certificate verification is available for employers or hiring agencies when authenticity confirmation is requested.

Accredited HIPAA Certification Training

The curriculum is structured as HIPAA training modules paired with multiple-choice quizzes after each module. The training covers the HIPAA Privacy Rule, HIPAA Security Rule, and HIPAA Breach Notification Rule, then applies those requirements to workforce conduct, patient rights, and day-to-day disclosure decisions that create compliance risk.

The modules address practical error patterns such as misdirected communications, identity verification failures, and poor handling of electronic protected health information through devices, credentials, and email. The course also includes content on newer exposure areas that arise in operational settings, including the use of generative AI tools and social media, and it includes instruction on disclosures and communications during emergency situations.

Optional modules are available for learners who work in states with additional medical privacy and security requirements, including Texas and California. The course is offered as an accredited certificate course with 5.0 continuing education units.
